Digital Access Management for Electrical Panels

When carrying out work, it is essential that specific procedures are followed: subcontractors must hold the correct certifications, work permits must be prepared and signed, and relevant documentation must be made available.
At the end of the work, subcontractors are also required to update the documentation to ensure it remains accurate and up-to-date.

Because the existing manual process led to ambiguity, errors, administrative overhead, and incomplete documentation, we were asked to provide a solution.

Subcontractors are first validated based on their certifications. These certifications determine which types of work they are authorized to perform on electrical panels. Once validated, subcontractors can submit requests to carry out specific actions. Each request goes through a structured process outlining the type of work, its impact, and the required safety measures.

After approval by a departmental moderator, the subcontractor must digitally sign a work permit on a tablet before starting. An approved request grants the subcontractor access to the electrical panel for a defined period. During this time, they have access to all necessary information and are required to update the documentation upon completion of the work.

An additional advantage is full traceability: all information is linked, including who worked on which panel, when, and what changes were made with proper authorization. This provides the client with a complete and automated log of all modifications and work performed.
